The Cool Cobras by Matt Green, Ben “Banana” Goldstein, and Lev Zilberberg
The Cobras have had an utterly amazing summer so far! We love all activities around camp! Nakul and Mason are beasts in dodgeball. Aidan, Jacob, and Chase hit dingers when we play tennis baseball. Max and Clint are incredible on the wiffleball field. Ethan loves playing baby-in-the-air on the football field, and Nicholas and Everett catch huge fish at nature. Lucas loves making awesome gimp designs and Michael was a pro in the pool. We have loved our year so far, and we have two amazing weeks to go. Hooray!

The Silly Sharks by Jim Waltz
The Sharks have had an amazing summer filled with non-stop fun and adventure! From intense Bag-of-Bones games at tennis to scaling the rock wall and diving into the epic Shark vs. Otter dodgeball game, there’s never a dull moment. The Sharks really showed off their dance moves at this year’s Bunk Show with great solo performances from each boy. Our campers have also shown off their creative side with art and ceramics projects while also enjoying plenty of gaga games, basketball trick shots, countless holes-in-one at mini golf and other exciting activities. It’s been an unforgettable summer for the Sharks, and we can’t wait for more fun to come!
SC – Jim, JC – Fin and Wes, CITs – Brandon, Austin, Carson
SOME FRIENDLY BRIARWOOD REMINDERS:
• If you want to reach your camper’s counselor during the camp day, call the office at 215-598-7143 and we will gladly relay your message. Please do not TEXT or CALL your child’s counselor directly during the camp day. Our counselors are busy watching children and we have asked them not to check their phones during the day.
• Early and Late Care is available from 7:30 am—6:00 pm sharp. Please call the office if you will need this service.
• While it never rains at Briarwood, in the event of a passing shower, please send your camper with the appropriate rain gear should the forecast call for rain.
• Everyone should apply sunscreen daily prior to coming to camp.
• We have a lost and found at camp. It gets pretty full this time of year. Campers’ items should be marked or labeled before they come to camp.
• Did you miss a Bugle? You can find all of this summer’s Bugles in the news section of our website.
• We will be dismissing at 2:30 pm on the last day of camp with no aftercare.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO CAMP IF HE/SHE IS NOT FEELING WELL
MEET EVEN MORE OF OUR WONDERFULLY SPLENDID SPORTS STAFF!
BRENYA GOMMEL is enjoying her first year with us at Briarwood and she is loving how the campers are wonderfully curious and positive! During the school year, she studies English/Communications at Muhlenberg University. Brenya’s favorite food is pierogies, yum! If she were an animal, she would be an orca and if she could travel any where in the world she would go to Ireland.
EVELYN LANSING is a fun, new addition to Briarwood Day Camp! During the off season, she is a student and a painter. Her favorite food is a bagel and if she were an animal, she would be a dog. If Evelyn could go anywhere, she’d travel to Germany. Evelyn’s favorite TV show is How I Met Your Mother. People don’t know that she is speaks English and German!
COLE SOTACK is excited to be back for his second summer at Briarwood. He is in graduate school at Rider University and coaches soccer. Cole’s favorite thing about Briarwood is jumping into the pool to cool off on hot days (Ed. note: who doesn’t love a good swim?). His favorite food is chicken parmesan and his favorite TV show is Game of Thrones. If Cole were an animal, he would be a racoon. If he could go anywhere in the world, he would travel to Madrid.
♫ Learn the Briarwood Song! ♫ We sing it at camp!
