Briarwood Bugle 2026
Week 3

From Mike and Matt
Sometimes we think camp can’t get any better … and then it does! Camp is awesome.

We had another fantastic week. Our campers smiled and laughed as they played, swam, created and enjoyed themselves all over camp.

This week, Wednesday Themeday was Crazy Hat Day (maybe you saw the videos from Lower Camp Crazy Hat Parade in the pictures we post), it was Tie Dye Week at Nature, our CITs and Super CITs went on some great trips, we played pickleball and tennis baseball, we jumped on the jumper and all around camp.

We have a ton going on in the next few weeks—Busy Bee Bunk Shows, Lower Camp Bunk Shows,Upper Camp Bunk Shows, Halloween in July, Goofy Day—plus all of our awesome, regularly scheduled program— art, sports, swimming, gymnastics, nature, rock wall and much, much more!

SENIOR CAMP HAPPENINGS By Dan Feldgus
Hello from Senior Camp! The CITs had a blast at Dorney Park last week. There were no lines, awesome food and even better company! You could find the CITs riding rollercoasters like Talon and Hydra, going on the log flume, or winning a bunch of arcade games. At camp, we have been playing a plethora of sports, practicing bunk shows, making new friends and helping out with all of the bunks around camp. This week, the Supers went to Belmar Beach, the 2nd years went to Hershey Park, and the 1st years went to Lucky Strike for bowling and laser tag! We are looking forward to more trips, laughs and life long memories.

EARNING OUR STRIPES by Eli Segal, Jeremy Leon, and Wesley Graham

The Tigers have been tearing things up at camp these past few weeks. We have been so busy hitting all our camp favorites. We have been swimming like fish in the pool, working to pass our deep-water test. Blazing down the zipline at the rock wall. Catching fish after fish at nature during the fishing derby. On the soccer field, the tigers are eager to show their speed and agility with the ball, look out for them in the 2042 World Cup. The Tigers have had a great summer so far and we are excited to make even more memories as the year continues!

PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD TO CAMP IF HE/SHE IS NOT FEELING WELL

MEET OUR WONDERFULLY AMAZING STAFF! PART II

We return with profiles of more senior staff members at Briarwood Day Camp!
ROB COOK is starting his first year at Briarwood and loves the variety of activities he gets to experience as a floater! During the offseason, he enjoys reading, playing sports, writing, and hanging out with friends. If he could be any animal, he would be an Eagle and would love to travel to Greece. Don’t let the muggles get you down; he loves reading Harry Potter. Fun fact: he is currently writing a fiction book!
SARAH LYNN is spending her 3rd summer here at Briarwood Day Camp and she loves the relationships she gets to make with her campers in the Orioles. During the school year, she attends Messiah University where she dances and choregraphs for her school. The last book she read is Rookie by Joshua Bassett. If she could go anywhere in the world, she would go to Norway to see the Northern Lights.
WILL SALTZMAN is a wonderful new addition to the Briarwood family! He loves sushi and playing wiffle ball. He was MVP on his Varsity Baseball team, impressive! A true Eagles fan, his favorite book is Believe It by Nick Foles. (ed. note: Go Birds!) Will says that If he were an animal, he’d be a dog.
EDEN SKOLNICK is having an awesome first summer at Briarwood with the Sparrows! She currently attends Saint Joe’s University. Her favorite food is sushi and her favorite show is Love Island. Her four cats say she’s the cat’s meow! Her favorite thing about Briarwood is nature; who doesn’t love s’mores, fishing, and tie dye!?
