Max Arteaga is in the Staff Spotlight!
Max is completing his junior year at Council Rock North High School and he has been at Briarwood Day Camp for nine years (so far!). Max will be a junior counselor at Briarwood this summer.
We asked Max a few questions.
Q. If you were a camper here, what was your first bunk? How old were you?
A. My first bunk was the Cougars. I was eight years old when I started coming to Briarwood.
Q. What’s your favorite thing about Briarwood?
A. My favorite thing about Briarwood is tough because I love so many different parts of camp. If I had to choose one, it would have to be Color War!
Q. What’s your favorite food at camp?
A. My favorite food at camp is EASILY Popcorn Chicken. Shoutout to Michele for cooking up great lunches during the summer!
Q. What’s your favorite tv show or movie?
A. The Office! I binge it regularly and it is hilarious!
Q. What’s your favorite camp activity (and if you feel like elaborating, why is it your favorite)?
A. My favorite camp activity is playing pickup basketball because I enjoy getting all ages involved and trying it out!
Q. What’s your favorite winter activity?
A. Football is my favorite winter activity. I’m a huge Eagles fan but also enjoy playing just for fun when there’s snow.
Q. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A. I’d go to Cuba! If you know me at Briarwood, you would know I’m very in touch with my family heritage.
Q. If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
A. “I’ll Finish It Soon.” I’m a terrible procrastinator!
Q. If you were an animal, what would you be?
A. Dog! I’m social and like to be around people.
Q. People don’t know that . . .
A. I hate chocolate!
Q. Anything else the world should know?
A. I cannot wait to be back at Briarwood and am looking forward to returning as a staff member and seeing old faces as well as new!
