Are you kind? Energetic? Do you like being around kids? Briarwood Day Camp is a great summer job for high school students presently in 10th, 11th and 12th grade. We’ll explain.
Briarwood’s high school aged staff – we call them junior counselors or JCs – spend their days outside working with campers. Aided by older staff, our junior counselors play, swim, laugh, create and help with the campers throughout the camp day. A JC’s job is basically to act as big brother or big sister to our campers – it’s fun and the kids look up to their junior counselors!
Briarwood will hire approximately 40-60 high school students this summer. Our junior counselors support each other during the day and many will also hang out at night or on weekends. Briarwood also hosts several staff nights throughout the summer (click here or here or here or here or here or here or here for photos) which are optional but a lot of fun.
Working at Briarwood is a great job. Camp runs for eight weeks in the summer, Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. We serve lunch (and the food is good)!
Briarwood picks up and drops off its junior counselors so whether you live in our junior counselor transportation area – basically Bensalem, Chalfont, Churchville, Doylestown, Feasterville, Furlong, Holland, Ivyland, Jamison, Langhorne, New Hope, Newtown, Richboro, Southampton, Trevose, Warrington, Warwick, Washington Crossing or Yardley – we’ll get you to camp.
The salary is $2,000 and up for the summer. We don’t cut your hours. No nights, no weekends. Just fun in the sun.
