All parents want the best for their children. We often meet parents who aren’t sure if camp will be good for their preschooler or if their preschooler is ready.
We know that young kids are like sponges – they grow so much from day to day, from week to week and from month to month. Here are the questions we ask at Briarwood Day Camp.
Summer camp presents many opportunities for preschoolers to explore and try new things in a safe, supervised environment. Sure, we know that some kids are more adventurous and some are more cautious – and what we also know is that even our more guarded campers are curious, watching and paying attention. Summer camp – and Briarwood’s Busy Bee Program specifically – presents many opportunities for preschoolers to explore and try new things in a nurturing, safe and supervised environment.
Briarwood campers have the opportunity to run, swim, play, dance, create and do all of the amazing things that day camp offers. Some will jump right in. Some need to observe for a bit (and that’s developmentally appropriate). At Briarwood, we know how to work with preschoolers to help them grow and succeed.
Do you chase your child around the house? The yard? Is your preschooler getting into more and more things? At Briarwood, our campers experience everything from soccer to tumbling, from jumping to climbing, from painting to splashing (and LOTS and LOTS in between). Our campers play during the day and sleep well at night (and so do our counselors!).
Briarwood campers are active and take frequent bathroom breaks. We find that at three years old and potty trained, they are ready to enjoy and experience what Briarwood has to offer!
